Wolfgang Schmid graduated in Mechanical Engineering with the main emphasis on Production Engineering, Casting and Recasting Technology and Electronic Data Processing at the University for Applied Science of Aalen. He spent half a year in Dublin, Ireland doing his degree dissertation on Robot Technology and improving his language skills. Afterwards he worked as a Designing Engineer in the Electrical Engineering Industry.
In 1996 he joined Lorenz & Kollegen as Patent Agent. With his wide range of technical knowledge due to both, his studies of Mechanical Engineering and his additional profession as toolmaker, he is in charge of national and international patent applications, translations, prosecution activities as well as Online and Internet researches.
In 2002 he qualified as a European Patent Attorney and is now a professional representative before the European Patent office. Additional he became German Patent Attorney in the year 2007.
